Lubricant specialist MÉGUIN to offer engine oils in new containers

Saarlouis, 10 June 2008 – Saarland-based lubricant manufacturer MÉGUIN is launching new small-sized containers on the market. All its engine oils are now being filled into the new canisters. The packaging re-launch is part of the expansion of brand awareness in Germany and abroad.

“The design has to make the product speak for itself” – the designers of MÉGUIN’s new small containers took this principle to heart and gave them a special touch with a whole range of new details, making them stand out from the product mix offered by other manufacturers. “Distinctive, independent packaging underlines the value of the product, helps to create a separate identity for the brand and boosts its presentation,” says head of marketing Peter Baumann, summing up the advantages of the new design.

Three sizes, nine benefits
The new containers are available in 1-litre, 4-litre and 5-litre sizes. All the canisters boast new features in line with the “form follows function” principle: The lid has an integrated, removable spout and the viewing window with a scale in litres shows the level of the contents reliably. The special design gives the containers a distinctive appearance and makes them highly efficient in terms of transport and storage.

The new design focused on the label: Specially defined colours enable the products to be differentiated easily. The viscosity is deliberately printed boldly on the front. “For most customers, this is the key feature that helps them to choose,” explains Baumann.
